Metaphor Madness

7th June 2023

"You have been given a seed" she said

"It's a real gift, now it needs planting "

"My soil isn't ready" I retort,

I am swift in this response.

"If the soil isn't ready,

Lacking in nutrients,

Then no amount of water

Will produce a strong plant"

Getting the soil right

Seems to be my life's work.
